who we are

Intima Wellbeing is a specialized urology practice focused on sexual wellbeing, pelvic health, and hormone therapy for both men and women. We combine the art of nursing and the science of medicine to empower our patients to achieve sexual wellbeing through physical, psychological, sociocultural, interpersonal sexual health and sexual self-determination.

Intima Wellbeing is led by Bethany Parsell MSN, APRN, CNP, CUNP. She is a board-certified urology nurse practitioner with extensive specialized training in sexual medicine, hormone therapy, and pelvic floor therapy. She has received this training from the American Urologic Association, the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, The Heather Hirsch Academy, The Menopause Society, Harvard Medical School course on Testosterone Therapy and Sexual Dysfunction, and many more!

intima wellbeing is…

  • Celebrating and providing care for every body, regardless of gender, age, or background, with a welcoming and non-judgmental approach.

  • Empowering individuals to take ownership of their unique journey toward sexual wellbeing and pelvic health by providing them with knowledge, support, and shared decision making.

  • Offering a safe space where people feel seen, heard, valued, and cared for by fostering trust and understanding.

  • Honoring the diversity of personal experiences and celebrating each individual’s unique path to well-being.

We are committed to raising awareness about the importance of sexual and pelvic health and normalizing conversations around these topics.

I was struggling with how to maintain my identity as a nurse practitioner, honor the nursing profession, and stay committed to patient wellbeing within a broken model of health care that wasn’t working for patients or clinicians.

I recognized that sexual wellbeing for men and women is a fundamental part of overall health and wellbeing but unfortunately is not addressed or mismanaged in our current healthcare system. I realized that the sexual health needs of my patients could not be fully met in my current urology practice, so I created Intima Wellbeing as a space where sexual wellbeing can be achieved and celebrated.

Sexual wellbeing includes physical, psychological, sociocultural, and interpersonal sexual health needs while empowering sexual self-determination. My combined training as a urology nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner with extensive training in sexual medicine, hormone therapy, and pelvic floor therapy enables me to help patients with every aspect of their concerns. I am passionate about offering the most advanced treatment options to patients, striving to optimize their wellbeing by taking a holistic approach that encompasses both conventional and cutting-edge treatments. I am dedicated to changing how we approach sexual healthcare for men and women removing barriers and destigmatizing sexual health and sexuality through a non-judgmental, empathic, and patient centered approach grounded in evidence-based research.

“Unlock a level of wellbeing you never thought possible. The traditional approach separates men's and women's health, often missing the critical connections between sexual dysfunction, hormone deficiencies, and pelvic floor health.

I offer a unique perspective, treating both men and women for these interconnected issues, leading to a more fulfilling life”
